ACME, Berwyn Church Members, and Rachael Ray Partner to Help the Community

The idea came from Carol Williams, who saw the Rachael Ray display and promotion in her local ACME. As the chair of Berwyn United Methodist’s Membership Care Committee, she proposed that the church members collect Rachael Ray stamps to gather sets of dishes for people in need in their community. The rest of the church liked the idea – a lot. Through their collective efforts, the church members redeemed enough stamps to collect over 152 pieces of Rachael Ray dinnerware.
“We intended the Rachael Ray program as a reward to our loyal ACME customers,” said Jim Perkins, president of ACME Markets. “We are happy to see that our program can help the community too.”
“We expect we will hear of needs through our local interfaith community network of service organizations, churches and food cupboards,” said Gary Jacabella, the pastor of Berwyn United Methodist Church. “At this point, the dishes are ready and we will share their availability with other groups.”
