Jan 24th, 2014
As the finale to the ACME Swoop In and Win celebration on Saturday, January 18th, ACME Markets presented the Eagles Youth Partnership with a $30,000 donation. ACME associates and customers donated money throughout the months of August and September to support the mission of the Eagles Youth Partnership. The Eagles Youth Partnership organization serves low income children in the Greater Philadelphia region with a variety of programs that focus on health and education.
“ACME is proud to be the official supermarket of the Philadelphia Eagles. Through this sponsorship we were introduced to the Eagles Youth Partnership, which helps low income children in the Greater Philadelphia region.” said Dennis Clark, ACME vice president of marketing and merchandising. “We know this $30,000 donation will reach the lives of nearly 1,000 children. Donations like these are just one more way ACME is gives back to the communities we serve.”
“Thank you for embracing Eagles Youth Partnership (EYP) and the vulnerable child we serve.” said Sarah Martinez-Helfman, the executive director of the Eagles Youth Partnership. “The $30,000 is a tribute to your generosity and to all the tremendous and faithful Eagles fans who shop in your markets. Together, we raised enough to put prescription eyeglasses on the faces of 1,000 children through our Eagles Eye Mobile program. On behalf of all of those children, THANK YOU! ACME’s a game changer when it comes to building a better community”
