ACME and Colgate-Palmolive Partner to Benefit Children’s Hospital
Jul 25th, 2014
ACME and Colgate-Palmolive partnered to donate four Starlight Tablets to the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE.
Starlight Tablets are child-friendly tablets that connect directly to Starbright World’s online community and digital animated, educational programming. The tablet provides tools and resources to guide pediatric patients and their families through difficult procedures and diagnoses, easing their fears and empowering the kids to cope with their diagnosis. During procedures or lengthy wait times, the kids can use the tablet to play games, complete homework, communicate with friends, and watch videos. Patients with very limited mobility are able to use the tablet, making it a critical resource in many pediatric units.
“We’re happy to partner with our friends at Colgate to support the great work being done by the team at Nemours/A.I. DuPont.” said Nick Sborlini, sales manager at ACME Markets.
Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children has been recognized multiple times by Hospitals and Health Networks magazine as one of the “Most Wired” hospitals in the country, a distinction that acknowledges their excellence in the use of information technology for infrastructure, business and administrative management, clinical quality and safety, and clinical integration.
