I cannot believe how much ACME markets have changed in the past year. the prices have become the best around by far, but more importantly, the staff in my store (Somers Point NJ) is incredible….the store is actually CLEAN unlike the competitors, and the atmosphere is exactly what you want in a supermarket. FANTASTIC JOB!

Love the card free savings! Prices are greatly improved and so is the service. I am returning to Acme after several years of shopping with a competitor.

I have been a shopper of Acme stores for my entire adult life. I am shopping here more than I used to but I still shop at competitors for many things. There have been many noticeable changes in Acme stores. I love the new coupon policy. There are definitely lower prices on some things, however, Acme still has sky high ridiculous (compared to the Shoprite, Walmart, and Target all within a 10 minute drive) prices on a lot of things. There is one problem that Acme refuses to focus on, at least my local Acme. Constantly, I am finding expired food and moldy, rotten produce on the shelves at my Acme. I know when I’m shopping I have to look at EVERY expiration date because if not I am going home with expired food. The rotten produce is really disgusting and makes you wonder what is going on behind the scenes of the store. I have used the “contact us” section of the website several times to try and address this issue though nothing seems to be done about it. How can we trust a store that doesn’t pull expired food from it’s shelf? There is a shoprite literally accross the street that never has expired food on their shelves. Frankly, I’d rather shop at Acme because of the coupon policy, employees, and layout of the store but I am forced to go to Shoprite to buy fresh produce and other things that are frequently expired on Acme shelves. This should not be something that a customer has to constantly bring to attention. Of course, this is not something the President would be aware of as a problem. That is why I’m addressing it here as maybe you could get on the store and make sure they take care of this issue. Just to reiterate the positive, I do love the changes Acme is making.

Hello there, Alice. We apologize for the inconveniece this has caused, but our online pickup feature did not have enough active customers to justify continuing to offer it. Please know that our online ordering feature for party platters and dinners is still available, and you can also compile your shopping list on We appreciate you taking the time to post, and hope you have a great day. ~Zachary

The Acme I shop at (10th and Reed in Philadelphia) has gotten really nice! I love the new gluten-free and whole food aisle. And whenever I go their everyone is so friendly – it makes me look forward to shopping there. I had a bill dispute and called in to sort it out and the accountant was so helpful and understanding. Thank you for turning into a great store!

I work in Acme’s Doing Resets every week. On of the issuses I would address is the cleaning of the store shelves. Some of them are behind dirty. Oil reset, the shelves were so dirty. We did are best to clean them, but at some point shouldn’t employees of Acme have to keep up on it. Also, when doing resets, there is so much overstock put anywhere, behind other products some stacked almost to the ceiling, some customers can not even reach the items on the top shelves to reach the product. I also strive to do my best in your stores. I really like Acme Markets and hope some more changes are made

I realize that your 2 day sale says “While Supplies Last” but 8 hours into a “2 day sale”
and running out of Snow Crab Legs is ridiculous. It’s funny Giant Eagle has had this sale about a month ago and they didn’t run out. At least not the first 25% of the sale. I got so mad I didn’t buy anything and just left my cart. Have a good day!

I’m sorry to hear that your local store was out of the advertised Snow Crab Legs, Valerie. Which location did you shop at? I await your reply, thank! ~Cindy

Kudos to Kathy Ackley & Phil Weber at Tuckerton ACME (#7858) !

    Dear Mr. Perkins,

On Friday, 10/10/14, my 84 year old mother, Grace Early, had been at the checkout line at your Tuckerton, NJ store when she had a severe fainting spell, passing out and sliding gently to the floor.

I am writing to tell you how grateful I and my brothers are to have had my mother treated with such thoughtfulness and care.

Your employee, Kathy Ackley, and her manager, Phil Weber, not only helped my mother at the store, but called the ambulance right away. When my mother refused to go to the hospital, Kathy insisted on driving her, in my mother’s own car, back home. Phil followed in his car and drove Kathy back to work. But this was only after Kathy Ackley carried in all the groceries and put all the perishable away. Furthermore, they would not leave until my mother had called her son.

I thought it was important for you to know how much we appreciated the way these wonderful people went above-and-beyond.

Please acknowledge their great service to Acme. It is good to know that there are still such honorable and kindhearted people in the world as Kathy Ackley and Phil Weber. These individuals reflect well on your organization.

    Yours Truly,

    -Glenn Early
