How to join the monopoly game?

    • Customer Care 12/04/2014 at 7:07 am

store. You receive one game ticket: with each purchase transaction, for each participating vendor product purchased and for every 10 bonus items purchased. You may obtain a game board at your local store as well. From there, all you have to do is affix the tickets to the game board in their matching places. You can also go online at and enter your online codes for the Online Monopoly Game. I hope this information helps. If you have any further questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. Have a great day! ~Stephanie

I was treated like a criminal at the Lawrenceville Acme. Some wks. ago as I collected my Monopoly Tkts. I picked up a receipt from the floor next to the trash can. I asked the cashier if I could have the unclaimed tickets associated w/that receipt & told, “Yes”. I pulled additional receipts from the trash handing them to the cashier in exchange for game tkts. Today I paused outside of the store to fish receipts from the trash for unclaimed game tkts. I approached the CS desk only to be told I was not entitled to those game tkts. having not made a purchase. “Why does that mattered?”, I stated. No response to my objection from the CS Rep. The on-duty manager was summoned. I was chastised and my actions criminalized! Relatives & friends have given me their receipts – game tkts unclaimed – for several weeks. Does that invalidate those game tkts? I’m afraid to return. Will my “mugshot” be posted at every register? The employee that permitted this behavior several weeks ago is responsible as well! Guess I’ll be “ShoppingRite” or “Wegmanning” it for a couple of weeks until the “heat” dies down!

Good Morning, Kenny. I’m very sorry to hear how you were treated by the staff at your local ACME store. Per the official Monopoly Game Rules :”Game tickets will only be awarded during the transaction in which they were earned.” However there is an alternate way to receive tickets such as: Receive one (1) Game Ticket and one (1) Bonus Game Ticket for a total of two (2) Game Tickets by sending a self-addressed,stamped envelope to “Monopoly® MON-07 Collect and Win Game Ticket Request”, Attn: Promotions Coordinator, P.O. Box 965905, Marietta, GA 30066. Mail-in requests, including both outer envelope and SASE, must be handwritten and must be postmarked no sooner than February 5, 2014 and must be postmarked by May 13, 2014 and received no later than May 20, 2014, while supplies last. Please be asssured that your experience will be brought to the attention of the store director for their immediate review. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and I hope you have a good day! ~Cindy

The rules state that NO Purchase Necessary. Then they give all the things you have to do to get a ticket. I thought it was against the law to make a purchase necessary to be in a contest.. Most people only read the Headline.
I have seen people giving their tickets to some one behind them. The Acme is holding back the tickets with the big winning amounts until the end.(Which I always assumed was a crime. I personally have not received any ticket that will fill any opne slots since the second week. Since I spend over $200.00 a week at Acme this almost looks like a rigged contest.Once this contest is over I am going to do all my shopping at Giant

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention, Jim. To play the Monopoly game without a purchase, you would need to send in a request for tickets by mail; details are outlined in the official rules. As for the winning game markers not showing up, we have had several winners up to this point and expect that there will be many more before the game is over. Please keep in mind that game tickets are distributed randomly to all participating stores and the odds of winning a particular prize has a great impact on what tickets are found. This is affected by the likeliness of obtaining the one rare game marker needed to win a prize, as well as finding the semi-rare game markers that are printed 1 in 5,000 game tickets. For more details about the game and specific odds of winning, please see the official rules at – I will be sure to share your comments with our Marketing Team and I hope you have a good rest of your day. ~Kimberly

Hi. I went to my local ACME in Concordville, PA. They ran out of game tickets. They said keep your receipt on tickets you earned. Do you know when they are getting more?

    • Customer Care 26/04/2014 at 7:53 pm

I’m sorry to hear that your local stores ran out of tickets, Cindy! The game must have been really popular in your area this year. Unfortunately, when supplies run out there just aren’t any more tickets to give out. As a registered player though, you’re still eligible to win one of our two weekly $1,000 or the Grand Prize Online Sweepstakes drawings! So keep an eye on your email and good luck! ~Victor

The Acme in Newtown Square is saying that they are out of tickets and all the tickets are out there somewhere. Lot of prizes have not been claimed including the big ones. Something does not smell right with this contest.

My store in Sicklerville NJ has run out of game pieces. They have removed all signs of the game from the store. I feel that I should be able to go to another store and redeem the game pieces with my receipt. If they ran out they should have gotten some from another store. I was not happy. And if I would have checked when I entered the store I would have gone elsewhere. Why can I not got to another store to get game pieces with my store receipt? This sweepstakes is still going on and you should honor the receipt.

The thing that seems unfair to me is that even though it states in the rules of the game that it continues until tickets run out, how is it fair that other stores apparently still have tickets, and none of my local stores have any??? I have 3 receipts from my local ACME’s that would entitle me to 10 tickets + 2 instant winners (4 tickets), and 4 winners in the online game (8 tickets), but I can’t get any more since none of my local ACMEs have any more tickets. Could easily be a convenient way to manage where the winners come from, I won’t be getting any of the remaining prizes, and neither will anybody from my area. I’m one away from each and every potential prize, thanks!!! Certainly doesn’t leave me or anyone else who plays this game with a good taste in their mouth. Whoever came up with this marketing strategy should be looking for a new job.

I too had 25 tickets coming to me. Signs were still up, no mention there were no cards. Went shopping and specifically targeted products given the tickets, my daughter loves to play, then were told no tickets. I think there should have been a sign up, I feel slightly robbed of my experience. should have been upfront.

  10. K Moore 28/05/2014 at 5:42 pm

When you enter on-line it asks which store. How do you answer that question when you shop at three different Acmes and you don’t know which store they came from.

    • Customer Care 29/05/2014 at 6:14 am

Hey there, K. Moore. When you are asked which Acme location, feel free to choose the store that you frequent the most. We apologize for the confusion and hope you have a good day! ~Stephanie
