Copper River Wild Sockeye Salmon

The Copper River Wild Sockeye Salmon is flown in fresh from Alaska and is a wonderful piece of fish. It’s rich in Omega 3’s and rich in flavor. Light marinades and simple grilling will showcase its wonderful flavor. This fish has firm meat and is bright orange-red in color. It has the reddest flesh of all wild salmon. This fish is best when baked, broiled, grilled or poached and it is comparable to Chinook or Coho salmon as well as Rainbow Trout.


Copper River Wild Alaska Sockeye Salmon with Citrus Glaze


4 – 6 ounce Salmon fillets
Canola oil
2 Tb. – Butter
1/3 c. – Dark brown sugar
2 Tb. – Citrus zest (lemon, orange, lime)
Salt & pepper


Heat oil in a sauté pan on medium-high heat. Cook salmon for 4 minutes on each side, remove from pan and set aside.

Melt butter in same pan on low –medium heat. Add brown sugar, citrus zest and salt & pepper. Stir until sugar melts, spoon glaze over fish and serve.

Serves 4
