Fresh Red Snapper Fillets

Our current supply of Red Snapper Fillets is FRESH product, wild caught and product of Panama. Red Snappers grow to about 35 pounds, although 4-6 pound fish are most common. Fish weighing 2-4 pounds have a pink metallic skin & their skin gets redder as hey grow larger. Red Snapper is lean and moist, with a sweetly mild but distinctive flavor. The texture is lean but moist as well. The outstanding taste of the Red Snapper is proven by the number of other types of fish that, with even the slightest hint of red, masquerade in the marketplace as “red” snapper. The semi-firm meat is pinkish with yellow tones, in a raw state, turning somewhat lighter when cooked. The trademark skin is a deep red along the back, fading to a pinkish-red underside. Red Snapper Fillets are a very Heart Healthy fish! Red snapper cooking methods include Baking, broiling, grilling, poaching, sautéing & steaming. It is an excellent choice for fish tacos!


5 Ingredient Pan-Fried Dill & Garlic Snapper

Ingredients (Prep Time – 5 Minutes, Cook Time – 3  Minutes) – Makes 4 Servings

4 snapper fillets
2 tsp Gourmet Garden Dill
1 tbsp Gourmet Garden Garlic
1 tbsp Gourmet Garden Parsley
1 tbsp olive oil


Place snapper fillets on a plate. Combine Gourmet Garden Dill, Garlic and Parsley in a bowl.
Brush the herb mixture over one side of the fish.
Heat olive oil in a large frying pan.
Cook fish, herb side down, for 2 minutes.
Turn, cook for 2 – 3 minutes or until just cooked through.



Steamed Ginger Snapper

Ingredients (Prep Time 5 Minutes, Cook Time 3 Minutes) – MAKES 4 SERVINGS

4 snapper fillets
1 tbsp Gourmet Garden Ginger
1-2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp green onion, shredded
2 cups asian greens, steamed
2 cups rice (optional)


Arrange snapper fillets in a steamer basket.
Spread with Gourmet Garden Ginger & drizzle with soy sauce.
Place steamer basket over a pan of simmering water & cover tightly.
Steam fish for 6-8 minutes until cooked.
Drizzle fish with extra soy and top with shredded green onion.
Serve with steamed Asian greens and rice. Enjoy!


Fish with Chili & Cumin

Ingredients (Prep Time 5 Minutes, Cook Time 3 Minutes) – MAKES 4 SERVINGS 

4 firm white-fleshed fillets (suggest perch or snapper)
1 1/2 cups fresh or canned corn kernels
2 green onions, finely diced
Chilli & Cumin Marinade
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp Gourmet Garden Coriander
2 tsp Gourmet Garden Chilli


Combine lime juice, oil, cumin, Gourmet Garden Coriander and Chilli.
Season with salt and pepper.
Pour half the mixture over fillets in shallow dish, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Place corn, onion, tomato in a bowl (keep aside).
Add remaining marinade to mixture, mix to combine.
Preheat BBQ or char-grill.
Cook fish over moderate heat for 2-3 mins each side or until cooked to your liking.
Serve with corn mixture.
