When the ground meat (beef, chicken, turkey) is on sale, I put about two pounds at a time in the crockpot ( add water to meat) and cook it. I rinse the meat off, package in ziplock bags and place in the freezer. The hardest part of the recipe is done. I do the same with meatballs but I cook them in the oven, rinse, and freeze.
