Meal Prep 101: Quinoa

Prepping quinoa gives you a base start to any meal. Use quinoa throughout your week in stir frys, stews, morning breakfast porridge, salads, as a is hearty, filling, delicious, AND healthy! Remember, prepping food gives you future power!

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups uncooked O Organics™ Quinoa
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 6 cups water

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Rinse quinoa with cool water in a fine mesh strainer for 1-2 minutes.  

Step 2

Add rinsed quinoa, salt and water to a 4 quart pot. Bring to a boil covered over medium heat.

Step 3

Reduce heat to simmer for about 15 minutes. Keep covered and remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes then fluff with fork (all the germ should be separated from the seed, creating tiny spirals.) 

Step 4

Let cool and place in airtight containers in the refrigerator to use during the week.

All recipe ingredients should be cooked to a safe internal temperature according to USDA guidelines. After preparing a recipe, please store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
