Microwave Directions: (1) Empty packet into a deep microwave-safe bowl. (2) Add up to 2/3 cup of water, stir. Oatmeal must be prepared with water (To avoid boilover, refrain from adding milk until after cooking). (3) Adjust microwave setting to 50% power.(4) Microwave for 2-1/2 minutes to 3 minutes (Instructions are based on 1100 watt microwave oven. Additional cook time required for lower wattage microwaves. See bottom panel). (5) Stir well and wait 2-3 minutes for oatmeal to thicken before serving. Alternative Stove Top Preparations: (1) Boil up to 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. (2) Stir contents of pouch, and reduce heat to medium. (3) Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 3-4 minutes. (4) Remove oatmeal from saucepan, allowing 2-3 minutes to cool and thicken Lift tab to open. Or Remove flap along perforation on the back of box for a conveient pantry pack.
